I have been looking forward to the Taste of Playa before we even moved here a year ago. I saw it online when I was doing research for Playa del Carmen, and knew that I must attend when the time arrived. The day started out looking like it was going to downpour, but it ended up being
the perfect weather. Not hot and not cold.
They also had local bars like Tequila Barrel that would make small margaritas and martinis. This guy enjoys his job, you can tell. Maybe he was sampling the tequila, eh? Other restaurants featured wine and beer all depending on their specialty. We may have partaken in a few adult beverages, just a few. I mean, you have to wash down your food with something, right?
There were probably about two thousand people there all scooting around in the small area, trying to get their samples on. Everyone was enjoying the food, even little Taelyn. Of course, we had to give her some Texas style pulled pork. Nom, Nom, Nom, Nom!
There were desserts galore. That may have been the hardest decision for us to make. We finally settled on carrot cake, apple tart, oatmeal cookie, chocolate cookie, and a cream puff. Wow! That sounds like a lot when you put it on paper! Our favorites were from Chez Celina which was no shocker since we go there to get their desserts when we have a need for extreme sugar. We had a fantastic time, and but boy was I full! I can't wait until next year! I'm thinking I may put on my stretchy pants though!
We loved it, too! I love seeing everyone's pictures because it looks like you saw stuff we didn't see. So much to choose from
ReplyDeleteNice to see you all there!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michele! I can't wait until next year, but I'm going to try to save more room in my belly!
