Pumpkins, Ladybugs, and Candy...

I just couldn't wait until Halloween this year. One of the reasons Seth and I moved back to the States was because we missed the holidays and children's activities so much. Halloween is no exception. There is just so much fun you can have around this holiday, and I had to force myself

Dallas Farmers Market...

Oh, how I neglect thee. I looked back on my blog posts for the past couple of months, and it seems that its just become a "Wordless Wednesday" blog. I won't make excuses and instead will just show you one of my favorite places to go in Dallas now.

A few weeks ago, my sister and I made the trek downtown to the Dallas Farmers Market. I haven't been in years so it was nice to go with Taelyn and the kids so they could see it for the first time. My, my how its grown! When I had gone eight years ago, there was just Ruibal's Nursery and the fruit and veggie shed. Now, they have a building with different local vendors and restaurants so that you can make it a nice

Last Days of Summer...

Oh my goodness how time has flown! I swear we just arrived back in the US, and now its already Labor Day! Its been a whirlwind of summer for us. First moving back. Then staying with my sister until I knew what store I would be working. Then finding furniture after furniture after furniture for our eventual move. Now, we in our own place and its the end of summer! Whew!

So enough about us. On with the story...The city of Richardson built this fantastic new Recreational Center and pool just a few blocks from my sister's house. The fantastic part is that we technically have a Richardson address so we get to use it too as residents. The most fantastic of fantastic part is that they built a new pool area. Let me tell you. It. Is. FANTASTIC!  As an adult, I look at envy thinking what I would have done for a local pool like this one when I was

When Seth and I had made the decision to move back to the US, we knew we wanted to drive our car back so we wouldn't have to worry about purchasing a new one from the get-go. The plan was to fly Taelyn back to Oklahoma to stay with my mom and dad for a couple of weeks until we were able to drive back. Well, Mother Nature had other plans. Four days before we were scheduled to fly out, Moore, Oklahoma was hit with a deadly tornado. Scariest part of all, it missed my parents house by about five block. Yeah, you heard me...five blocks! Luckily, they were not hurt at all, but the area was completely destroyed. My parents had to evacuate their home and went to my sister's house in

Heck Yeah, Its a Scam!...

When Seth and I moved to Panama, we sold pretty much everything...everything being our house. Now that we are back, we have been shacking up with my sis and her family. Would you believe that four adults, two teenagers, one adolescent, and one baby have managed to live with

Splish Splash...

When we first arrived back in the US, we spent a couple of weekends in Oklahoma before I returned back to work. It was so great just getting to hang out with my parents and not worry about stocking up on supplies and clothes to take back to Mexico. This time, it was just chilling and relaxing. My mom wanted to take us to this free outdoor water playground for kids about 10 minutes from their house in Norman (that would be the home of Oklahoma University for all you non-sports fans). I cannot tell you what an awesome idea I think this was for the city of Norman to build for
